I signed up for the half, is there a way to upgrade to the full?

I’m a little confused – is this marathon one you can use to qualify for Boston? Is the course certified, etc? If so, this is a great option to the Chicago Marathon which, in my opinion, has gotten way too big and many of the people who were lucky enough to get chosen in the lottery can’t even finish it because they didn’t train properly and just entered for bragging rights.

This marathon is a Boston Qualifier, and while not as fast as Chicago (not many marathons are!), it still features some nice long flat straightaways with a few hills throughout the course.

What is the course time for the marathon?

    • tommyt

The course support limit is 6 hours. After 6 hours, you must obey all traffic laws. However, the finish line and timing will be available until the last finisher crosses the line regardless of time.

Where are the FAQs on this race?

How can a person confirm their registration? I don’t see it anywhere on this website.

    • tommyt

We do not have an FAQ page on the website. Almost all available information can be found under the relevant menu. You can also search from the main page. This comment system works for any additional questions. You can confirm your registration through the service you used to register, either RunSignUp.com or Eventbrite.com.

Will the half and full start together, both say 7:30am? Also, if needed can you switch events from full to half?

    • tommyt

Both events will start at the same time, and you may switch before race day.

Will Hobart Road be open before marathon Sunday? It is currently closed under the US 12 bridge

    • tommyt

It will be open to participants on race day. It will still be closed to traffic.

I’m unclear about the “clear bag” protocol.
    – Can I run with my hydration packback? I wore it during the Chicago marathon last weekend.
    – I plan to pick up my packet race morning. Will I be given a clear bag?
    – Will I be allowed to put my own gear bag inside the clear bag, and leave it at gear check? Or do my individual items need to be placed directly into the clear bag to be checked?
